Biomarkers and Novel Therapeutic Targets to Personalize Cancer Care

We are interested in dissecting molecular mechanisms of tumor cell resistance to cancer therapies such as radiation in order to develop novel therapies to improve outcomes for patients diagnosed with cancer. Improving care and outcomes for patients is the central goal of the lab’s work.

The lab has a specific interest in serine protease inhibitor (SERPIN) biology and its interactions with tumor immunology and their responses to ionizing radiation in cervical cancer.
